My favourite YouTuber of the year by far is this Irish lass. Melanie talks openly on her channel about sexuality, mental health and her struggles with acne. I look at her as a big sister figure – one you could ask for advice on anything – and I would love nothing more to meet with her for a cuppa and a chat. She recently completed her first ever Vlogmas which I thoroughly enjoyed and I highly recommend you give those videos a watch if you’re into daily vlogs.

Christmas can be a stressful time for anyone, but even more so for someone with an eating problem or body image issues. Forget about the mad panic to get presents and ensuring the day runs smoothly, for people who struggle with an eating disorder and/or body dysmorphia it can be one of the most difficult times of year. Back in the day I listened to music all day, every day and was constantly on the lookout for new artists to discover. As I’ve grown older though, the motivation to discover new music has diminished which saddens me. The reason? To put it bluntly, I’m lazy. When it comes to listening or watching something new, I just find it takes too much time and effort. It’s something that needs my full attention and half the time I’d rather be doing something else.

Last Sunday me and one of my best friends took a trip into town with a plan on browsing the Christmas market. What I had hoped would be a day full of festive cheer and capturing an infinite supply of pictures soon turned into freezing cold chaos. I had underestimated how busy it would be. How ignorant of me considering it was two Sundays before Christmas. However, I persevered and managed to get a handful of decent pictures of the market without people’s heads in the way or being pushed to move along.
